Someone was stabbed to death in Tabard Gardens last night. I knew it was only a matter of time; you can always hear the chavs shouting and swearing at each other from over there. I went out at about 10.30 am but when I got back there was crime scene tape everywhere, and it's still there. The police were thoughtful enough to drag one of the bins over to the entrance, so we've still got somewhere to put our rubbish.

The woman at reception says the victim was "only a little boy", which probably means he was a teenager from the estate. It'll be in the local paper today or tomorrow, but I'm not going to look.

Should have RP applications finished by this evening or early tomorrow.

EDIT (6.29 pm): A Google search reveals that the victim is 14 years old and currently still alive, but "in a critical condition" in hospital. At least he's not dead, but a 16 - year - old was knifed today as well.

I don't normally do these, but we used to play something like this at school. It brings back happy memories.

That's actually not too bad, apart from the slavery and the 28 million kids.

This is nothing to do with RP, of course, but I haven't got a personal journal.

I've never known anyone who kept an icon journal, but I bet that when adding people back on friends requests, they check to see whether those people have credited the icons at their journal. If any icon makers read this, do feel free to correct me.

Sam won't be using this journal so it's just MY CDJ now. She doesn't really RP any more, and I'm the only one that's written in it so far. I do miss the good old days of us playing together, but there you go. Or bad old days. I'm surprised any games ever accepted us.

I really want to change the icons and layout, but I'll do it another time.

Fandom thought for the day: Why is it that in all the next - gen games currently being advertised on IJ, I've seen only two in which Albus Potter wasn't a Slytherin? Rowling hasn't confirmed it as canon, so why does he always have to be in Slytherin? I think it's partly a "stick it to JKR" thing from people who weren't happy with the way she presented Slytherin in the books. It seems to be the prevailing view in the fandom at the moment that the only way for the Potter - Weasley kids to turn out right is for them not to be in Gryffindor. Then there are the fans of Slytherin!Harry, and the Albus/Scorpius shippers. I've even seen people argue that JKR intended for Albus to be a Slytherin because he was, as Harry points out, named after a former Slytherin; and his initials spell out ASP, which is a kind of snake.

You can tell from the epilogue that he was inspired at the idea of choosing not to be Slytherin. Are you gonna tell me he didn't ask for another house after that? I personally think most of the Potter and Weasley kids would be in Gryffindor, although Ravenclaw!Rose is a possibility. If ever I play Albus Potter, it will be in a game where he isn't in Slytherin.
